Companions of Faith 2025: Moving Forward in Faith
Young adults gathered in Kent for the Companions of Faith retreat, exploring personal and spiritual growth through the theme "Movement" and strengthening community connections.
The Companions of Faith retreat, held in Kent, south-east England, brought together participants from England, Ireland, Germany, Slovakia, Belgium, and the Czech Republic. The event focused on the theme “Movement,” encouraging attendees to explore growth and transformation in their spiritual lives.
Through lectures, group discussions, and personal reflection, participants examined different types of movement, such as overcoming stagnation, making decisive changes, and cultivating daily habits for growth. The workshop also explored movement across generations, family relationships, and core concepts from our teachings, including themes of freedom, peace, unity, and absolute love.
Our key speakers shared personal experiences, inspiring attendees to connect deeply with God and the principles of the Unification movement. Their talks emphasized how faith can be a guiding force in navigating life's challenges.
Participants reflected on critical takeaways from the retreat. One attendee shared, “I realized that life isn’t about feeling good but doing good. I need to step out of my comfort zone and take responsibility for change.” Others spoke about gaining clarity on personal struggles and finding hope to move forward.
Beyond the educational sessions, the retreat included meaningful community-building activities, such as team sharings, walks in nature, singing, and shared meals. The atmosphere fostered a sense of belonging and renewed purpose.
The Companions of Faith retreat concluded with participants expressing gratitude for the opportunity to connect, reflect, and strengthen their faith. It highlighted the ongoing journey of spiritual growth and the power of community in fostering resilience and deeper connections.
