Families Gather for Fun and Faith at Annual Gathering 2024

Families from across the country took part in our Annual Gathering Festival in Wiltshire last weekend, enjoying a day filled with worship, community activities, and musical performances.

On Saturday, June 22nd, dozens of families up and down the country travelled to Wiltshire for our Annual Gathering Festival. The event was a vibrant celebration of community and faith, featuring a variety of activities for all ages.

Children and adults alike enjoyed a bouncy castle, a magic show, and, for the first time, a petting zoo. For the sports enthusiasts, there were competitive volleyball and ultimate frisbee tournaments. Attendees indulged in diverse food options, from BBQ grills to a refreshing smoothie bar, while the return of Live Lounge, kept spirits high with an impressive lineup of performances.

The day began at 11 am with a vibrant worship service, where the worship band energised attendees with a mix of contemporary and traditional worship songs. This uplifting atmosphere was further enriched by Assistant Pastor Eric W. from Scotland, who delivered an inspiring sermon. He emphasised the significance of fostering a positive environment and encouraged everyone to make a daily effort to impact others positively.

His lighthearted yet profound message set a joyful tone for the day, leaving everyone in high spirits as they moved on to catching up and participating in various activities.

A special moment towards the end of the service was the presentation of the Grace Miller Award to Aryan R. This award recognised his exceptional dedication and service as the Sunday Service Worship Coordinator and his commitment to supporting his church community North of the Thames. Aryan’s efforts have been instrumental in fostering a strong community spirit within his community.

Reflecting on the event's success, Dr. Michael Balcomb, Director of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (UK), shared his thoughts:

“The annual gathering is a chance for members from across the country to get together and share time with others in the community. The day itself was hugely successful and enjoyable for all those in attendance. The weather was perfect, and following our Sunday service, most attendees spent the day soaking up the sun while enjoying a picnic or something from the BBQ. It’s a pleasure to see our members come together and enjoy each other's company while celebrating their faith.”

The day was a testament to the community spirit and faith that define our community, making it a memorable event for all who attended.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year's Annual Gathering Festival; your efforts made it an outstanding success.
